Common issue with power steering in Vauxhall Corsa

I've noticed that my Vauxhall Corsa's power steering seems to cut out intermittently. It's quite concerning when driving, especially at higher speeds. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?

Hi Samantha, this is a common issue with Vauxhall Corsas. It's usually caused by a faulty power steering pump or a loose belt. I would suggest taking it to a trusted mechanic to have it checked and repaired if necessary.

My brother had the same issue with his Corsa. He replaced the power steering pump and it solved the problem. Make sure to get a good quality one as cheap ones tend to fail more quickly.

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a faulty power steering control module. It's a bit expensive to replace, but it completely fixed the issue for me.
