How can I troubleshoot an issue with my Vauxhall Crossland engine making a knocking sound?

I've noticed that my Vauxhall Crossland's engine is making a knocking sound while driving. It's been happening for a few days now and I'm not sure what could be causing it. What could be causing this issue and how can I troubleshoot it?

A knocking sound in the engine could be a sign of low oil levels. Check your oil and if it's low, top it up immediately to see if the noise goes away.

E

If your oil levels are fine, the knocking sound could be caused by a faulty spark plug. Consider getting it checked and replaced if necessary.

B

Another possible cause could be a problem with your timing belt. This issue should be addressed by a certified mechanic as soon as possible.

I had a similar issue with my Crossland and it turned out to be a problem with the fuel injectors. Get them checked and cleaned by a professional.
