I recently noticed that my brakes on my Vauxhall Corsa are starting to feel spongy and I am worried about driving. What steps do I need to take to change my brakes and ensure they are working properly?
ReplyFirst, you will need to gather the necessary tools and supplies for this task. You will need a jack, a lug wrench, brake pads, brake cleaner and a tire iron.
Next, make sure that your vehicle is safely elevated using a jack and support stands. Loosen the lug nuts and remove the tire.
Once the tire is removed, you will have access to the brake caliper. Use a C-clamp to compress the pistons and remove the caliper bolts.
Remove the old brake pads and clean the caliper with brake cleaner. Install the new brake pads and secure the caliper back in place.
