How do I change the coolant in my Vauxhall Astra?

I recently noticed my coolant level was low and I want to top it up myself. What are the steps to properly change the coolant in my Vauxhall Astra? I am not familiar with car maintenance but I would like to learn how to do it myself.

Hi Sophia, changing the coolant in your Vauxhall Astra is actually quite easy and can save you money in the long run. First, make sure your car is cooled down before starting. Locate the coolant reservoir and open the cap. Then, drain the old coolant by opening the drain valve at the bottom of the radiator. Once it's empty, close the valve and refill the reservoir with a mixture of coolant and water as per your car's manufacturer instructions. Finally, run your car for a few minutes and check the level again to make sure it's at the proper level. Good luck!
