How do I change the engine oil in my Vauxhall Corsa?

I recently bought a used Vauxhall Corsa and I'm not sure how to change the engine oil. Do I need any special tools or can I do it myself? How often should I change the oil? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can change the engine oil yourself on your Vauxhall Corsa. You will need a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil pan, and new engine oil. It's also good to have gloves and a funnel for pouring the new oil.

As for how often you should change the oil, it's recommended to do it every 5,000-7,500 miles. However, if you frequently drive in stop-and-go traffic or in extreme temperatures, it's best to change it more frequently.

To change the oil, first warm up the engine for a few minutes so the oil flows more easily. Then, locate the oil drain plug under the car and loosen it with a wrench. Let the old oil drain into the pan. Next, remove the old oil filter and replace it with a new one. Finally, refill the engine with the recommended amount of new oil.

Remember to properly dispose of the old oil and to check the oil level after the change. If you're unsure about any of these steps, don't hesitate to consult your owner's manual or a mechanic for help.
