I just bought a used Vauxhall Insignia and I'm not sure how to check the oil levels. Can someone provide step-by-step instructions?
ReplyFirst, park the car on a level surface and wait for the engine to cool down. Then locate the oil dipstick and remove it. Wipe it clean with a cloth or paper towel, reinsert it, and then pull it out again. The oil level should be between the min and max markers. If it's low, add more oil.
I usually check the oil levels every 2 weeks, or before a long journey. It's important to keep the oil levels within the recommended range to prevent engine damage. Trust me, I had to pay for an expensive engine repair because I neglected to check the oil regularly.
