How do I know if my Vauxhall Movano needs new brake pads?

I'm not sure if my Vauxhall Movano's brake pads need to be replaced. What are some signs to look out for?

One of the most obvious signs that your brake pads need to be replaced is if you hear a screeching or grinding noise when braking. This is caused by the brake pad wear indicator, which is a small piece of metal that scrapes against the rotor when the pads are too worn down. It's important to address this issue immediately before it causes damage to your rotors.

You can also check the thickness of your brake pads by visually inspecting them through the wheel spokes. Typically, if the pad thickness is less than 1/4 inch, it's time to replace them.

Another sign that your brake pads need to be replaced is if you feel a vibration or pulsation when applying the brakes. This could indicate that the brake rotors are warped and need to be replaced along with the pads.
