How do I reset the service light on my Vauxhall Insignia?

I recently serviced my Vauxhall Insignia myself but the service light is still on. How do I reset it?

To reset the service light, first switch on the ignition without starting the engine. Then, fully press and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seconds. Finally, switch off the ignition and the service light should be reset.

If the above method does not work, you can also try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting it. This should also reset the service light.
