How do I reset the trip computer in my Vauxhall Zafira Life?

I recently bought a used Vauxhall Zafira Life and I noticed the trip computer has been stuck on the previous owner's trip info. How do I reset it to show my own trip data?

The process for resetting the trip computer varies slightly depending on the year of your Zafira. For newer models, you can simply press the Menu button on the steering wheel until you see the trip computer screen, then press and hold the Set/Reset button for a few seconds. For older models, you may need to hold down the Set/Reset button and the Menu button simultaneously for a few seconds. Either way, the trip computer should reset and show your own trip information.

If the above method doesn't work, you can also try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting it. This will reset all the computer systems in your Zafira, including the trip computer. Just make sure you have your radio code handy as it may need to be re-entered after disconnecting the battery.
