How do I reset the trip computer on a Vauxhall Astra?

I recently bought a used Vauxhall Astra and I noticed that the trip computer shows inaccurate information. How can I reset it to display the correct information? Any advice would be appreciated!

To reset the trip computer on your Vauxhall Astra, start by turning off the ignition and removing the key. Then, hold down the trip button on the dashboard and at the same time, turn on the ignition. Continue to hold the trip button until the display shows 'Oil Service' or 'Inspection'. Release the button and the trip computer should reset.

Another way to reset the trip computer is by disconnecting the car battery for a few minutes. However, this will also reset other settings on your car, so make sure you have the radio code handy. Otherwise, follow the steps above for a manual reset.

I had the same issue with my Vauxhall Astra and it turned out to be a faulty sensor. You may want to get it checked by a mechanic to be sure.
