How do I troubleshoot a faulty starter in my Vauxhall Vivaro?

I have a Vauxhall Vivaro and it seems like my starter is not working properly. When I turn the key, it just clicks and doesn't start the engine. What could be causing this issue and how do I fix it?

It's possible that there could be a problem with the starter motor or the solenoid. I recommend checking the electrical connections and making sure they are secure. If that doesn't solve the issue, it might be necessary to replace the starter motor.

Another potential issue could be a dead battery. Make sure to check the battery's voltage and charge it if necessary. If the battery is fully charged and you're still having trouble starting the engine, it could be a faulty starter. I suggest consulting a mechanic for further diagnosis.

One possible solution is to tap the starter motor lightly with a hammer to see if that helps loosen any stuck parts. Additionally, make sure to check the ignition switch and the fuse for the starter. If none of these steps work, it might be time to replace the starter altogether.
