How do I troubleshoot my Vauxhall Astra's engine overheating?

I have a Vauxhall Astra and the engine keeps overheating. I've checked the coolant level and there are no visible leaks. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

First, check the radiator and make sure it is not clogged. If it is, clean it out and see if that helps. If not, then the issue may be with the thermostat. Replace it and see if the issue persists. If it does, it could be a problem with the water pump.

Another possibility is a faulty temperature sensor. This can cause the engine to overheat even if the coolant level is fine. Have it checked and replaced if necessary. Also, be sure to regularly check and replace the coolant as needed.

If you have been using the car for long periods of time and in hot weather, it is possible that the problem is simply due to excessive strain on the engine. Try letting the car cool down for a bit before continuing to drive. If the issue persists, have it checked by a mechanic.
