How often should I change the brake pads on my Vauxhall Corsa?

I've had my Vauxhall Corsa for over 3 years now and I'm wondering when I should expect to change the brake pads. I mainly drive on city roads and occasionally on the highway. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's recommended to check your brake pads every 12,000 miles or annually, whichever comes first. However, this can vary depending on your driving habits. Since you mainly drive in the city, it's possible that your brake pads may need to be changed sooner.

A good rule of thumb is to listen for any unusual noises when braking, such as squeaking or grinding. This could be a sign that your brake pads are worn and in need of replacement.

In addition to checking the mileage, it's also important to visually inspect your brake pads. If they are less than a quarter inch thick, it's time to replace them.
