How often should the timing belt be changed on a Vauxhall Vivaro?

I just bought a Vauxhall Vivaro and I'm not sure when I should change the timing belt. Can anyone recommend a mileage or time interval?

It is recommended to change the timing belt every 60,000 miles or every 5 years, whichever comes first.

I have been using Vauxhall Vivaros for my business for years and I change the timing belt every 3 years to be on the safe side.

I change the timing belt on my Vivaro once every 80,000 miles and have not had any issues.

A

I learned the hard way that waiting too long to change the timing belt can lead to major engine damage. I suggest following the recommended interval of 60,000 miles or 5 years.

I have heard of some people changing the timing belt every 10 years, but I wouldn't recommend waiting that long. Stick to the recommended interval and you'll be safe.
