How often should the timing belt be replaced in a Vauxhall Zafira Life?

I recently purchased a Vauxhall Zafira Life and I am wondering when I should replace the timing belt. Can I just do it based on mileage or is there a specific interval recommended by the manufacturer?

The timing belt in your Vauxhall Zafira Life should be replaced every 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. It is important to follow this interval as failing to replace the timing belt on time can result in serious engine damage.

I recommend replacing the timing belt every 4 years or 50,000 miles to be safe. It's better to replace it earlier than risk it breaking and causing expensive repairs. Keep in mind that the timing belt can also wear out from age, not just mileage.

I've had my Vauxhall Zafira Life for 10 years and have never replaced the timing belt. As long as you regularly check the condition of the belt and listen for any unusual noises, you should be fine. Just make sure to replace it if there are any signs of wear.
