How to fix a stuck key in my Vauxhall Insignia?

I recently purchased a used Vauxhall Insignia and noticed that one of the keys is constantly getting stuck. I have to jiggle it around to get it out of the ignition. Is there a simple fix for this or should I take it to a mechanic?

Hi Sarah, it sounds like your key may be worn out or there may be debris stuck in the ignition. I would recommend trying a spare key to see if the issue persists. If it does, then it may be best to take it to a mechanic to get it professionally looked at. They will be able to diagnose the problem and suggest the best course of action.

Hey Sarah, I had a similar issue with my Vauxhall Insignia. It turned out that there was a buildup of dirt and grime in the ignition, which was causing the key to get stuck. I used a can of compressed air to clean it out and now my key works perfectly. Give it a try before taking it to a mechanic.

Hi Sarah, I used to have the same problem with my Vauxhall Insignia. I found that spraying a little bit of WD-40 into the ignition helped to lubricate it and prevent the key from getting stuck. Just be sure to use the straw attachment to avoid getting it on any sensitive electronics.
