How to fix the transmission issue in my Vauxhall Grandland?

I've been experiencing some trouble with the transmission in my Vauxhall Grandland. It seems to be shifting gears very roughly and sometimes gets stuck in a certain gear. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

It's possible that your transmission fluid may be low or dirty. I suggest checking the fluid level and if it's low, top it up with the recommended type of fluid. If the fluid is dirty, it may need to be flushed and replaced.

Another possible cause could be a faulty transmission solenoid. This is a small electrical component that controls the flow of transmission fluid. If it's malfunctioning, it can cause shifting issues. You may need to take your car to a mechanic for diagnosis and repair.

If you've recently had any transmission work done on your car, it's possible that something was not properly installed or adjusted. I recommend taking your car back to the mechanic who did the work and explaining the symptoms to them.
