How to properly maintain the brakes on a Vauxhall Movano?

I recently bought a used Vauxhall Movano and I want to make sure I am properly maintaining the brakes to ensure its longevity. Can someone give me some tips on what type of brake pads and fluid to use, and how often I should have them checked or replaced? Thanks in advance!

Hi John, for brake pads, it's best to use OEM (original equipment manufacturer) pads specifically made for your Vauxhall Movano. As for brake fluid, DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 is recommended. It's important to have your brakes checked every 6 months or 6,000 miles, whichever comes first. And for replacement, it really depends on your driving habits and mileage, so it's best to consult with a mechanic for their professional recommendation.

Hey John, I've been a mechanic for over 10 years and I've worked on a lot of Vauxhall Movano vans. My personal recommendation for brake pads is the Bosch brand, they provide great performance and durability. As for brake fluid, I suggest using a synthetic DOT 4 brake fluid for optimum performance. And don't forget to have your brakes checked every 12 months or 12,000 miles!

Hi John, I've owned a Vauxhall Movano for 5 years now and my advice would be to avoid cheap brake pads and fluid. It may save you money in the short term, but it could end up damaging your brakes and costing you more in the long run. Stick with reputable brands and have your brakes checked at least once a year, even if you don't drive a lot. Safety first!
