How to troubleshoot a faulty cooling system in Vauxhall Vivaro?

I have been experiencing issues with the cooling system in my Vauxhall Vivaro. The temperature gauge keeps going in the red zone and the engine seems to be overheating. What could be causing this issue? And what steps can I take to fix it?

Hello Chris, it seems like there could be a few potential causes for your cooling system issue. Some common culprits are a faulty thermostat, a leak in the cooling system, or a problem with the water pump. I would recommend checking these components first and replacing any faulty ones.

Hi there Chris, another possibility could be a clogged radiator. Over time, sediment and debris can build up in the radiator and block the flow of coolant. Have you checked to see if there is any blockage? If so, a radiator flush could help solve the problem.

Hi Chris, one additional thing to consider is the condition of the radiator cap. If it is worn or damaged, it can prevent proper pressure build-up in the cooling system and lead to overheating. I would suggest replacing the radiator cap if it appears worn.
