Is there a way to extend the range of the Vauxhall Grandland's wireless key fob?

I often park my Vauxhall Grandland in my garage at the back of my house, but I've noticed that the wireless key fob doesn't always reach the car from that distance. Is there a way to extend the range of the key fob so I don't have to walk all the way to the front of my house to unlock my car?

Yes, there are actually a few options you can try to extend the range of your key fob. One option is to purchase a key fob repeater, which basically acts as an antenna to amplify the signal from your key fob. Another option is to try and position your key fob higher up in your garage, as walls and other obstacles can reduce the range of the signal. You can also try replacing the batteries in your key fob, as a weak battery can also affect the range.

I had the same issue with my Vauxhall Grandland and found that placing the key fob in a specific spot in my garage helped extend the range. I recommend experimenting with different locations and heights to see if you can find a sweet spot that works for you.

Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed way to extend the range of your key fob. It may be worth considering investing in a spare key fob or keyless entry system if this is a recurring issue for you.
