Should I replace my Vauxhall Astra's timing belt?

My Vauxhall Astra has over 100,000 miles on it and I'm wondering if I should replace the timing belt. Is it necessary and if so, when should I do it?

Yes, it's a good idea to replace the timing belt on your Vauxhall Astra once you reach 100,000 miles.

R

If your car is well-maintained and you don't drive it too often, you may be able to push the timing belt replacement to 120,000 miles.

D

Don't wait until the belt breaks before getting it replaced. It can cause expensive damage to your engine.

S

You should also check the water pump and tensioner when replacing the timing belt, as they often wear out around the same time.
