The Vauxhall Movano ignition switch won't turn, what should I do?

I have a Vauxhall Movano van and the ignition switch won't turn when I insert the key. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it? I need my van for work and can't afford to have it out of commission.

Hi Lisa, it sounds like there may be an issue with your ignition cylinder. This is a common problem with the Movano and can be caused by dirt, debris, or wear and tear. I suggest trying some lubricant or graphite powder in the keyhole to see if that helps. If not, you may need to replace the ignition cylinder.

Hey Lisa, I had the same issue with my Movano and it turned out to be a problem with the key itself. If you have a spare key, try using that to see if it turns in the ignition. If not, you may need to get a new key cut or programmed.

Hi Lisa, another possible cause could be a dead battery. If your battery is low or dead, it may not have enough power to turn the ignition. Try jumpstarting your van or getting the battery tested to see if that's the issue.
