What are common issues with the Vauxhall Corsa's brake system?

I've been experiencing some odd behavior while braking in my Vauxhall Corsa. Sometimes, the brake pedal feels spongy and it takes longer to stop the car. Other times, the brakes feel very tight and it's hard to press the pedal. What could be causing this?

It sounds like there could be air in your brake lines, causing the spongy feeling. I would recommend bleeding the brakes to remove any air and see if that improves the braking performance.

Another possibility could be worn brake pads or a faulty brake calipers. Have you noticed any unusual noises or vibrations while braking? If so, I would recommend getting these components checked and replaced if necessary.

You may also want to check your brake fluid level and quality. If the fluid is low or old, it can affect the brake performance. Make sure to use the recommended type of brake fluid for your Vauxhall Corsa.
