I recently bought a used Vauxhall Vivaro and I've noticed some strange behavior with the transmission. Sometimes it shifts very hard and other times it feels like it's slipping. What could be causing these problems and how can I fix them?
ReplyThe most common issues with the Vauxhall Vivaro transmission are related to the transmission fluid. It's important to check the fluid levels regularly and change it every 30,000 miles or so. Low or dirty transmission fluid can cause the symptoms you described.
Another possible cause for the transmission issues could be a faulty solenoid. These can be replaced fairly easily and are much cheaper than replacing the entire transmission. It's definitely worth getting it checked by a mechanic.
