What are the signs of worn out brake pads on a Vauxhall Mokka?

I have a Vauxhall Mokka and I am starting to feel some changes in the braking system. I want to know what are the specific signs that indicate worn out brake pads and when should I replace them?

If you hear a squealing or grinding noise when braking, that is a clear sign that your brake pads are worn out. Another sign is if your brake pedal feels softer or if it takes longer for your car to stop.

I recommend checking the thickness of your brake pads regularly. If they are less than 3mm, it's time to replace them. You can also visually inspect them or have a mechanic check them for you.

It's always better to replace brake pads before they completely wear out. If you wait too long, it can cause damage to other components of your braking system and lead to costly repairs.
