What could be causing a knocking noise in the Vauxhall Astra engine?

Recently, my Vauxhall Astra has been making a loud knocking noise whenever I accelerate or turn the engine on. It seems to be coming from the engine area. I'm worried that this could be a sign of a bigger issue. What could be causing this noise and how can I fix it?

The knocking noise could be caused by a number of issues such as worn out engine bearings or a loose engine mount. It's best to take your car to a mechanic for a proper diagnosis.

I had a similar issue with my Vauxhall Astra and it turned out to be a loose exhaust bracket. I would recommend checking all the brackets under the car to see if any need tightening.

It's also possible that the knocking noise is coming from the suspension components. Have a mechanic inspect the suspension and make any necessary repairs.

Make sure to check your oil levels and change the oil if it's dirty. Low oil levels or dirty oil can cause knocking noises in the engine.
