What could be causing my Vauxhall Zafira Life's brake pedal to feel spongy?

I've noticed that my Vauxhall Zafira Life's brake pedal feels spongy when I press it, which is not normal. What could be wrong and how can I fix it?

It is possible that there could be air or moisture in your brake lines, causing the spongy feeling. You should have a mechanic bleed your brake system and check for any leaks.

Check your brake fluid levels. If they are low, it could also cause a spongy pedal. If this is the case, refill your brake fluid and see if the problem persists.

Another possible cause could be worn out brake pads. Inspect your pads for any signs of wear and consider replacing them if needed.
