What is the best oil for a Vauxhall Astra?

I have recently purchased a used Vauxhall Astra and I am unsure of what type of oil to use for regular maintenance. What type of oil is recommended for optimal performance and how often should I change it?

For a Vauxhall Astra, it is recommended to use a fully synthetic oil with a viscosity of 5W-30. This will provide better protection and improve engine performance. You should change the oil every 10,000 miles or once a year, whichever comes first.

I have had my Vauxhall Astra for years and always use a high-quality synthetic oil. It has never let me down and my car still runs like new. Make sure to stick to the recommended oil grade and change it regularly. It's worth the investment!

In my experience, a semi-synthetic oil works just fine for a Vauxhall Astra. Just make sure to change it every 7,500 miles and you'll be good to go. Also, don't forget to check your oil level regularly and top up if needed.
