What is the best type of oil for a Vauxhall Astra?

I recently purchased a Vauxhall Astra and was wondering what type of oil would be best to use for optimal engine performance and longevity?

In my experience, I have found that using a synthetic oil, such as Mobil 1 or Castrol Edge, provides the best results for Vauxhall Astra vehicles. The synthetic oil has better lubrication properties and can withstand higher temperatures, which is important for the Astra's engine.
