What is the cause of the engine light in my Vauxhall Insignia?

My Vauxhall Insignia's engine light has been constantly on for the past week. I've checked the coolant and oil levels but everything seems to be fine. What could be causing this issue?

The engine light can indicate a wide range of issues, from a simple loose gas cap to a more serious engine problem. It's best to take your car to a trusted mechanic or dealership to get it properly diagnosed and fixed.

Have you recently changed your spark plugs? Sometimes old or worn out spark plugs can cause the engine light to come on. Try replacing them and see if that solves the issue.

Another possible cause could be a faulty oxygen sensor. This sensor measures the oxygen levels in the exhaust and if it's not functioning properly, it can trigger the engine light. Get it checked and replaced if needed.
