What is the difference between the Vauxhall Mokka engine and the Mokka X engine?

I'm considering purchasing a Vauxhall Mokka and I noticed there is also a Mokka X model. Can someone explain the difference in their engines and what impact it may have on performance and fuel efficiency?

A

The Vauxhall Mokka and Mokka X both have different engine options, with the Mokka X offering a slightly more powerful 1.4 litre turbocharged engine compared to the standard Mokka's 1.0 litre turbocharged engine. This may result in slightly better performance and potentially better fuel efficiency, but it ultimately depends on your driving habits and preferences. I recommend taking both for a test drive to see which engine suits you best.

Another notable difference is that the Mokka X also offers a diesel engine option, which may be more suitable for longer drives and those looking for better fuel economy. However, keep in mind that diesel engines may have higher maintenance costs. If you primarily drive short distances, the standard Mokka's petrol engine may be a better choice. It's important to consider your driving needs before making a decision.

I personally have the Mokka X with the 1.4 litre engine and have been very happy with its performance and fuel efficiency. It's also worth noting that the Mokka X comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the Mokka only has a 5-speed manual option. This may also play a role in your decision-making.
