I have a Vauxhall Astra and recently it has been having trouble starting. I turn the key and I can hear the engine attempting to start, but it just won't turn over. What could be causing this issue and what steps should I take to fix it?
ReplyIt sounds like you may have an issue with your starter. This can happen due to wear and tear over time. I would suggest checking the connections to make sure they are clean and tight. If that doesn't work, it may be time to replace the starter.
Another possibility could be an issue with the fuel pump. If the fuel pump is not functioning properly, it can prevent the engine from starting. You can test this by turning the key to the 'ON' position and listening for the sound of the fuel pump priming. If you don't hear anything, it may be time to replace the fuel pump.
