I've noticed that my Vauxhall Astra's temperature gauge is rising to the red zone. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

First, check your coolant levels and make sure they are topped off. If that doesn't solve the issue, it could be a problem with the thermostat or a leak in the cooling system. A qualified mechanic can diagnose and fix the problem for you.

If your coolant levels are fine, it could be an issue with your radiator. Check for any signs of leaks or damage and have it repaired or replaced if necessary.

Another possibility is a malfunctioning water pump. If it is not circulating cool water through the engine, your car will overheat. Have a mechanic check the water pump and replace it if needed.
