Why do I keep losing power in my Vauxhall Zafira Life?

I have noticed that my Vauxhall Zafira Life keeps losing power while driving. It feels like the engine is struggling and the acceleration is not as responsive as it used to be. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

Hi Alexandra, the most common cause for loss of power in a vehicle is a clogged air filter. Make sure to check and replace your air filter if it's dirty. Other reasons could include a faulty fuel pump, clogged fuel injectors, or a malfunctioning engine sensor. It would be best to take your car to a mechanic for a proper diagnosis and repair.

Hi Alexandra, have you recently changed the type of fuel you're using? Using a lower octane fuel than recommended for your car can cause a decrease in performance. Try using the recommended fuel and see if the issue improves. If not, it could be a problem with the spark plugs or ignition system.

Hi Alexandra, another possible cause for loss of power could be a clogged catalytic converter. This component helps reduce emissions and can get blocked over time. Consider taking your car to a mechanic to check and clean the catalytic converter.
