Why does my Vauxhall Astra make a clicking noise when I turn the steering wheel?

I recently noticed that my Vauxhall Astra makes a clicking noise every time I turn the steering wheel. It seems to happen more frequently when I am turning at low speeds. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It sounds like you may have a worn or damaged CV joint. This is a common issue in cars and can cause a clicking noise when turning. I would recommend taking your car to a mechanic to have it checked and replaced if necessary.

Another possibility is that you have low power steering fluid. When the fluid is low, it can cause the power steering system to make a clicking noise. Check your fluid levels and top them up if needed.

If you have recently hit a curb or pothole, it is possible that your wheel alignment has been thrown off. This can also cause a clicking noise when turning. A simple realignment should fix the issue.

One last thing to check is your steering column. If it is loose or damaged, it can cause a clicking noise when turning. A mechanic should be able to inspect the column and make any necessary repairs.
