I have a Vauxhall Combo Life and recently it has started stalling whilst driving. It seems to happen randomly and there doesn't seem to be any pattern to it. What could be causing this issue?
ReplyIt can be frustrating when your engine stalls while driving. There are a few potential causes for this issue. One possibility is that your fuel filter may be clogged, which can cause the engine to stall due to insufficient fuel reaching the engine. Another possibility is that your spark plugs may be worn out, preventing the engine from firing properly. I recommend getting your fuel filter and spark plugs checked by a mechanic to see if they need to be replaced.
Another common cause of stalling engines is a faulty mass air flow sensor. This sensor is responsible for measuring the amount of air entering the engine and adjusting the fuel delivery accordingly. If it becomes dirty or malfunctions, it can cause the engine to stall. I suggest having this sensor checked and potentially replaced if needed.
Additionally, an engine that stalls can also be a sign of a problem with the ignition system. Faulty ignition components such as the ignition coil, distributor cap or rotor can lead to inconsistent sparks and cause the engine to stall. It is worth having a mechanic inspect and potentially repair or replace these components, if necessary.
