Why does my Vauxhall Corsa keep stalling?

I recently purchased a used Vauxhall Corsa and I've been experiencing issues with it stalling while I'm driving. When this happens, the engine completely shuts off and I have to restart the car. This is happening often and it's becoming a safety concern. Any advice on what might be causing this and how to fix it?

Hi Samantha, there could be a few reasons why your Vauxhall Corsa is stalling while driving. One possibility is a problem with the fuel system, such as a clogged fuel filter or fuel pump malfunction. Another possibility is an issue with the ignition system, such as faulty spark plugs. It's also possible that there could be an issue with the engine or transmission. My advice would be to bring your car to a trusted mechanic and have them perform a diagnostic test to pinpoint the exact cause of the stalling. They will be able to provide a solution and get you back on the road safely.

Hey Samantha, I had a similar issue with my Vauxhall Corsa and it turned out to be a faulty idle control valve. This regulates the engine idle speed and if it's malfunctioning, it can cause stalling. I would recommend checking this component and having it replaced if necessary. Hope this helps!

Hi Samantha, another possible cause of stalling in Vauxhall Corsas is a dirty or faulty air flow sensor. This sensor measures the amount of air entering the engine and if it's dirty or malfunctioning, it can cause stalling. I suggest cleaning or replacing this sensor to see if it resolves the issue. Best of luck!
