Why does my Vauxhall Corsa's engine make a knocking noise?

I've noticed that my Vauxhall Corsa's engine has recently started making a knocking noise. It only occurs when the engine is warm and is more pronounced when accelerating. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

The most likely cause of the knocking noise is worn engine bearings. This is a common issue in older Vauxhall Corsas and can be caused by regular wear and tear or low oil levels. It's important to get this fixed as soon as possible as continued driving with worn bearings can lead to engine failure.

Another possible cause could be a faulty fuel injector. This can also cause a knocking noise and can be a result of old or dirty fuel. I recommend getting your fuel system checked and possibly getting a fuel system cleaning to see if that resolves the issue.

In some cases, the knocking noise can be caused by worn spark plugs. If they haven't been replaced in a while, this could be the culprit. I recommend getting your spark plugs checked and replaced if needed. This is a simple and affordable fix that could solve the issue.
