I recently bought a used Vauxhall Corsa and I've noticed that the engine shakes when it's idling. What could be causing this and is there a way to fix it?
ReplyHi Samantha, this could be caused by a few different things. One possible culprit could be worn spark plugs. As they get old, they can cause the engine to shake when it's idling. Another possibility could be a damaged engine mount. If the mount is cracked or worn, it can't support the engine properly and that can lead to shaking.
Hey Samantha, it's also worth checking the air filter. If it's clogged or dirty, it can affect the air and fuel mixture in the engine and cause shaking. You may also want to have the idle speed control valve checked. If it's faulty, it can cause the engine to idle too low and that can lead to shaking.
