I've noticed that my Vauxhall Crossland's engine has recently started making a strange grinding noise. I'm not sure what could be causing it but it's definitely not a normal sound. Can you offer any advice on what might be causing this and how I can fix it?
ReplyHi Sarah, it sounds like your engine might have a problem with the bearings or gears. This can be caused by lack of maintenance, wear and tear, or damage. It's best to take your car to a mechanic to have it checked and repaired if necessary as continued driving can cause further damage.
Hi Sarah, another possible cause for the grinding noise could be a loose or damaged accessory belt. This can also cause squealing or squeaking noises. It's important to get this checked and replaced if necessary as a failed belt can cause other issues with your car's engine.
Hi Sarah, have you noticed any changes in your car's performance or any warning lights on your dashboard? If so, it's possible that your engine has a faulty sensor or some other issue that is causing the loud noise. I recommend taking it to a mechanic for a diagnostic test to pinpoint the exact cause.
