Why does my Vauxhall Crossland's engine make a rattling noise at idle?

I've noticed that my Vauxhall Crossland's engine makes a rattling noise when it's idle. It seems to go away when I start driving, but it's still concerning. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

The rattling noise at idle could be caused by a few different things. It could be an issue with the engine's timing belt or tensioner, or it could be a problem with the exhaust system. It's best to take your car to a mechanic to diagnose the exact cause.

One thing you can try is checking your oil level and making sure it's at the appropriate level. Low oil can sometimes cause weird noises in the engine. If that doesn't fix the issue, it's best to have a professional take a look at it.

I've had a similar issue with my Vauxhall Crossland before and it turned out to be a problem with the camshaft position sensor. It might be worth getting that checked out as well.
