Why does my Vauxhall Insignia have a rough idle?

I recently purchased a used Vauxhall Insignia and have noticed that it has a rough idle when starting the car. It also tends to shake when I come to a stop at a traffic light. Does anyone know what could be causing this issue and how to fix it?

Hi John, a rough idle and shaking at a stop can be caused by a few different things. It could be an issue with your spark plugs, fuel injectors, or air filter. I would recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic to have it looked at and properly diagnosed.

Hey John, I had a similar issue with my Vauxhall Insignia and it turned out to be a problem with the ignition coils. These are responsible for delivering electricity to the spark plugs and when they are faulty, it can cause a rough idle. I would suggest having them checked and replaced if necessary.

Hey John, I had the same problem with my Insignia and it turned out to be a faulty mass air flow sensor. This sensor measures the amount of air entering the engine and if it's not working properly, it can cause a rough idle. I would recommend having it checked and replaced if needed.
