Why does my Vauxhall Insignia make a clicking noise when I turn the steering wheel?

I noticed that my Vauxhall Insignia has started making a clicking noise every time I turn the steering wheel. It seems to be coming from the front of the car and it's quite loud. What could be causing this and what should I do?

It sounds like you may have a problem with your CV joints. These joints connect the transmission to the wheels and can start to wear out over time. It's important to get this checked out by a mechanic as soon as possible before it causes further damage and becomes more expensive to fix.

Another possible cause could be an issue with the power steering system. This could be caused by low power steering fluid or a faulty power steering pump. It's best to have a professional diagnose and repair this issue.

In some cases, the clicking noise could be due to a worn-out steering column. This can happen over time with regular use of the steering wheel. It's important to have a mechanic inspect and replace the column if necessary.
