Why does my Vauxhall Mokka engine make a clicking noise?

I have recently noticed that my Vauxhall Mokka's engine has been making a weird clicking noise. It only happens when the car is idling and disappears when I start driving. What could be causing this issue?

This clicking noise could be caused by a faulty valve or lifter in your engine. It could also be a sign of low oil levels or dirty oil. I would recommend getting your car checked by a mechanic to diagnose the issue and prevent any further damage to your engine.

Another possible cause of the clicking noise could be a loose component in your engine. I would recommend checking all of the engine components for any signs of wear or damage and tightening any loose parts as needed.

If your car has been sitting for a while, it could be due to a buildup of corrosion on the battery terminals. I would suggest cleaning the terminals and ensuring they are securely attached to the battery.
