Why does my Vauxhall Movano's engine make a loud noise on cold starts?

I have noticed that when I start my Vauxhall Movano in the morning or after it has been sitting for a few hours, the engine makes a loud noise. It sounds like rattling or knocking and it lasts for a few seconds before disappearing. What could be causing this and is it something I should be worried about?

Hi John, this loud noise on cold starts is a common issue with the Vauxhall Movano. It is most likely caused by a faulty timing chain tensioner or a worn out timing chain. It is not something to be overly concerned about, but it is important to get it checked by a mechanic as soon as possible.

Hi John, I had the same issue with my Vauxhall Movano and it turned out to be a faulty exhaust manifold. The rattling or knocking noise is caused by the exhaust gases escaping through small cracks in the manifold. It is a relatively easy fix and shouldn't be too expensive.

Hey John, I've also experienced this noise on cold starts with my Vauxhall Movano. It turned out to be a problem with the fuel injectors. Over time, they can become clogged or damaged, causing a delay in fuel delivery and resulting in a loud noise on start up. A simple fuel injector cleaning should solve the issue.
