Why is my Vauxhall Astra getting poor gas mileage?

I recently noticed that my Vauxhall Astra's gas mileage has decreased significantly. I've always made sure to maintain my car properly, but I'm concerned that something may be causing this. Can anyone offer any advice on what could be causing this issue and how to improve my gas mileage?

There are a few potential reasons for poor gas mileage in a Vauxhall Astra. One possibility is that there is an issue with the fuel injectors, which can become dirty or clogged over time. Another possibility is that the air filter may need to be replaced. I suggest taking your car to a mechanic to get it checked out.

Another factor that could be affecting your gas mileage is the condition of your tires. If they are underinflated or worn, this can cause your car to use more fuel. I recommend checking your tire pressure and replacing your tires if necessary.

Have you been driving more in stop-and-go traffic or on hilly roads recently? This type of driving can also decrease gas mileage. Try to avoid these types of driving if possible and see if your gas mileage improves.

In addition to the above suggestions, make sure you're not carrying any unnecessary weight in your car, as this can also impact gas mileage. Also, try to avoid speeding and aggressive driving, as this can use up more fuel as well.
