My Vauxhall Astra has recently started making a clicking sound while I am accelerating. It only happens when I am going over 40mph and it seems to be coming from the front of the car. What could be causing this issue?
ReplyIt is likely that the clicking sound is coming from the CV joints, which connect the axles to the wheels. Over time, these joints can become worn and produce a clicking sound when accelerating. It is important to get this checked out by a mechanic as soon as possible, as driving with a worn CV joint can lead to more serious damage.
Another possible cause of the clicking sound could be a problem with the wheel bearings. These are responsible for allowing the wheels to rotate smoothly. If they become worn or damaged, they can produce a clicking sound. It is important to get this issue addressed as it can lead to unsafe driving conditions.
