Why is my Vauxhall Astra making a grinding noise?

My Vauxhall Astra is making a grinding noise when I accelerate or decelerate. It seems to be coming from the front of the car. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

This grinding noise could be a sign that your brake pads or rotors are worn out and need to be replaced. I would recommend taking your car to a mechanic to have them inspected.

Another possible cause of this noise could be a fault in the wheel bearings. It's important to get this checked out as soon as possible, as driving with faulty wheel bearings can be dangerous.

In some cases, a grinding noise can also be caused by a loose or damaged belt in the engine. I would recommend having a mechanic take a look at your car's belts to see if they need to be replaced.
