I just bought a used Vauxhall Astra and I noticed that it makes a strange noise when I accelerate. It's not a grinding noise, more like a high-pitched whine. Any idea what could be causing this?
ReplyIt's possible that this noise is coming from the transmission. This could be caused by low transmission fluid or worn-out gears. I would recommend getting it checked out by a Vauxhall mechanic as soon as possible.
Another possibility is that the noise is coming from the exhaust system. If the exhaust pipe or muffler is damaged or loose, it could create a high-pitched whine. I suggest having a specialist take a look at it.
