The most common cause of a rattling noise in a car's engine is a loose or worn-out belt. Check the timing belt and accessory belts for any signs of wear or damage. If necessary, replace them to solve the issue.

Another possible cause could be low oil pressure or dirty oil. Make sure to check the oil level and condition regularly, and change it as recommended by your car's manufacturer. If the oil is dirty or low, it can cause the engine to make unusual noises.

A faulty or worn-out engine mount can also be the cause of a rattling noise. If the engine mount is damaged, it may not be able to absorb the vibrations from the engine, resulting in a rattling noise. Have a mechanic inspect and replace the engine mount if necessary.
